Lewis Black

Lewis Black ( born August 30, 1948 in Washington, DC) is an American comedian, actor and author.

Black was on 30 August 1948 as the son of a Jewish couple in Washington DC born and grew up in Silver Spring. A study at Yale University he graduated in 1977 with a Master of Fine Arts from. For many years he was active in the theater until he switched to comedy specialist beginning of the 1990s. 2000 Black was awarded the American Comedy Awards in the category Funniest Male Stand-Up Comic. In 2007 he was awarded the Grammy Award for his CD The Carnegie Hall Performance. The next Grammy Award in 2011 with the album Black Stark Raving Black.

Lewis Black is a frequent guest appearances on the satirical news program The Daily Show.
