The Lewis Pass is a mountain pass in the northern part of New Zealand's South Island. It is the northernmost of the three main passes of the Southern Alps. With a height of 864 meters it is higher than the Haast Pass, but lower than the most famous mountain pass in the Southern Alps, Arthur 's Pass. The State Highway 7 via the pass and thus connects the northern Canterbury to the West Coast region.

The pass leads over a saddle between the valleys of the Maruia River in the Northwest and the Lewis River in the southeast. This saddle is in the immediate vicinity of the small town Maruia Springs, known for its hot springs.

Numerous hiking and trekking trails are located in the area of the Lewis Pass. This also includes the St. James Walk.
