Lewiston is a city in the western part of Niagara County, New York in the United States. In 2005, the city had 15,281 inhabitants. It is named after Morgan Lewis Lewiston, who was from 1804 to 1807 Governor of New York.

The place is located on the eastern shore of the Niagara River and thus on the border with Canada. To the south, the city of Niagara Falls joins. In Lewiston, the Niagara University is located.

Lewiston is the part of the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant - a hydroelectric power plant that uses water power at Niagara Falls and has a capacity of 2.5 GW.
