Lewitzrand

Lewitz edge is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Parchimer surrounding headquartered in Parchim.

Geography

The community is located 20 kilometers south-east of Schwerin in the sparsely populated and formed by the melt waters of the Vistula glaciation Lewitz. The flat terrain drops from about 60 m above sea level. NHN in the north to the south in Elde Garwitz to about 38 meters from. The highest elevation is the high peak east of pawls with 61.9 m above sea level. NHN. The landscape is characterized by criss-crossed by ditches and streams fields and meadows. Larger forest areas there are west of the district handles and east of Garwitz.

The municipality consists of the villages Garwitz, Latches, Matzlow, Raduhn and Rusch and the settlement Göthen.

History

The community Lewitz edge was formed on June 7, 2009, the day of local elections in Mecklenburg -Western Pomerania, from the formerly independent communities latches Raduhn and Matzlow -Garwitz.

Traffic

Through the municipal area will lead the national road 9 from Crivitz to Parchim and other connecting roads. The Federal Highway 24 can be reached via the connection Neustadt- Glewe. The next train connections exist in peace and Friedrich Domsühl on the railway line Schwerin - Parchim and in Spornitz on the railway line Parchim -Ludwig pleasure.
