Leyla Güngör

Leyla Güngör Asiye (* May 29, 1993 in Malmö) is a Swedish-born Turkish footballer.

Association

Güngör started her career at the age of five years at the Turk Anadolu FF. After the club had merged in 2001 with the Malmö Boll & Idrottsförening to MABI, she joined the successor club. At the age of 11 years she moved to the C- female youth of Malmö FF. In April 2007, she joined the successor club LDB FC Malmö and moved in 2010 to the Damallsvenskan team. After six and a half years, she announced in August 2010 its switching to league rivals Linkoping Kenty DFF. In Linköping, she played only half a year and moved in December 2010 back to the Damallsvenskan to Kristianstad DFF. After seven months in Kristianstad, she moved back to Lidköping and signed for city rivals Linköpings FC. In January 2012, she left and went to Linköping IF Limhamn Bunkeflo.

Family

Leyla comes from a pure football family. Her older brother Sami (* 1989) is a striker currently with the KSF Prespa Birlik in Sweden under contract, the younger brother Selim Gungör plays as a midfielder ( LB07 ) in Malmö. Her father Ibrahim Gungor played in the 2000s as a defender for MABI and her mother Marie Güngör as Mittelfeldpsielerin for the BK Kick Malmö.
