Leynar [ lɛi naɹ ː ] ( Danish name: Lejnum ) is a place of the Faroe Islands in the West Streymoys.

Leynar has a small sandy beach, the Leynarsandur, which in fine weather a popular beach of the locals in the summer. Through the town flows the torrent Leynará, and is located near the idyllic lake Leynavatn, which is very popular among anglers. In Leynar is the eastern end of Vágartunnels.
