Homosexual acts are legal in Burkina Faso. An anti-discrimination law does not exist. State recognition of same-sex couples is not in the form of same-sex marriage or in a registered partnership in Burkina Faso.

Social situation

In Burkina Faso, there is only a small LGBT community in the capital Ouagadougou. LGBT organizations that improve the situation in the country for gay people, are hardly available.
