LHTEC T800

The LHTEC T800 (Light Helicopter Turbine Engine Company T800 ) is a turboshaft engine for use in helicopters in the power range 1300-1800 WPS.

Development

The company LHTEC is a 1984 formed joint venture between the U.S. company, Garrett AiResearch and the Allison Engine Company (now Honeywell International and Rolls- Royce ) to develop an engine for the Boeing - Sikorsky RAH -66 ( Comanche helicopter ). At T800 the high-pressure core of Honeywell and the low-pressure part of Rolls Royce comes from. The engine is equipped with a FADEC system and comes with the AgustaWestland AW159, RAH -66 Comanche ( T800 -801 ) and AgustaWestland T -129 used. The variant CTS800 -4 ( or even T800 -4 ) is a variant presented in September 2001 with respect to the base model increased power. The approval for this engine was granted in November 2003. Specifications
