Lhünzê County

Lhünzê ( Lhuentse ) is a county of the district of Shannan in Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 9,894 square kilometers and according to the 1990 census, 28 968 inhabitants, of whom 28 776 Tibetans and 107 Han Chinese; the rest of the population belongs mainly to the people of Lhoba. ( 2000 census: 32,184 inhabitants).

The east of the circle Lhünzê is claimed by the Chinese government as part of its territory, but is de facto under the control of India, where the field to the state of Arunachal Pradesh is counted.

Administrative Divisions

At the community level, the circuit consists of two large communities, eight municipalities and one nationality congregation sits together. These are:

  • Community Qayü (加 玉 乡);
  • Community Rirong (热 荣 乡);
  • Community Sangngagqoiling (三 安 曲 林 乡);
  • Community Xoisar (雪 沙 乡);
  • Community Yümai (玉 麦 乡);
  • Community Zari (扎 日 乡);
  • Community Zhoinba (准 巴 乡);
  • Community Doyü the Lhoba (斗 玉 珞巴族 乡).
