Li Changchun

Li Changchun (Chinese李长春, lǐ Changchun; * 1944 ) is a Chinese leaders. He was as a propaganda chief from 2002 to 2012 member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China.

Li Changchun is considered a close follower of Jiang Zemin and reputation has earned during his tenure as party secretary of Guangdong Province, the economic boom he had promoted. Li, however, is also associated with blood donation scandal in Henan province, where he was in the mid -1990s, party secretary, in conjunction. At that time, thousands of farmers have been infected during blood donations with the AIDS virus.
