Li Delin

Li Delin (* 530, † 599 ) was an advisor to the first Sui Emperor Wendi.

Li Delin was a close adviser to Yang Jian, who later became the first emperor of the Sui Dynasty. He worked in the tradition of Su Chuo on the restoration of Chinese ecumenism as a cultural space. To this end, he worked the plans for the advance of the Sui troops from the area south of the Yangtze River, which ended with the defeat of the Chen Dynasty in the year 589 in an actual restoration of a Chinese dominion. In his book, Thoughts on the Mandate of Heaven Li represents the change of rulers of the Northern Zhou Dynasty to the Sui as willed by God Represents the work is filled with quotes that probably should give a broader basis of legitimation him.
