Li Hai

Li Hai (Chinese李海; born May 2, 1954 in Beijing) is a Chinese writer and dissident.

Li Hai, 1989 was a doctoral student in philosophy at Beijing's elite university Beida, when it came to the Tiananmen Square Massacre. "Because he later wanted to organize a memorial service for the dead a year, Li was taken as 700 more Beijing in custody. " After half a year he was released from prison and forced expelled.

In May 1995 he was arrested again and sentenced to 9 years in prison for " sniffing around in state secrets ". Today, Li Hai is a freelance writer in Beijing and is one of the most famous dissidents in China.
