Li Hongzhi

Li Hongzhi (Chinese李洪志, lǐ Hongzhi, also Master Li; * May 13, 1951 or July 7, 1952 in Gongzhuling ) is the founder of originating from China Qi Gong movement Falun Gong.

Introduction

Li Hongzhi is the founder of Falun Gong. Falun Gong and Li Hongzhi as the founders have received more than 1,200 awards from diverse global sites. Date of birth

There are two different information about Li's date of birth. Reason for this is a change that was approved on September 24, 1994 Li. The reason for the change of date of birth Li gave to an administrative error during the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976 ). According to the official documents before the change he was born on July 7, 1952. After officially certified change his date of birth is May 13, 1951. Li Hongzhi introduced by this change until more than 15 years after the end of the Cultural Revolution and after the founding of Falun Gong (1992). The accuracy of his statements was challenged by the Chinese government after the onset of state persecution of Falun Gong.

The May 13, 1951 falls on the 8th day of the 4th month of the traditional Chinese lunar calendar in the year. This day is considered the birthday of the founder of Buddhism, Siddhartha Gautama. The Chinese government accuses him therefore, to pretend to be a reincarnation of the Buddha's first under Falun Gong. Li Hongzhi denies this intention.

Coincidentally, is considered the birthplace however Gongzhuling specified in Jilin Province.

Biography According to Falun Gong

Li Hongzhi went as usual to school and graduated from high school, but he did not study and in 1972 to a work. Later he married. In 1983, Li a daughter.

From 1960 to 1969, Li Hongzhi completed his education ( which he completed by the lower level of secondary school ). He learned to play the trumpet and worked as a trumpeter from 1970 to 1978, first in a military stud farm and then in a police force. From 1978 to 1982 he worked in a restaurant of the police force as a waiter, then from 1982 in the grain of the City of Changchun. His colleagues stated that the workload was so great that Li could not possibly practice Qi Gong. In 1991 he gave up his job and began for the first time to deal with Qigong by he took two courses at a known master. A year later, he appeared as a master of Falun Gong.

Falun Gong

Originally came from China Li. 1996 Li Hongzhi left China and moved to Houston, United States. He has lectured in Europe, Asia, the USA and Australia. Later he moved to New York City.
