Li Meiju

Li Meiju (Chinese李梅菊, Pinyin lǐ Meiju; born October 3, 1979 in Shijiazhuang ) is a Chinese shot putter.

The Vice Junior World Champion from 2000 won at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan.

In 2003 she was eleventh at the World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis and won the title at the Asian Championships.

In 2004, she finished fifth at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest and ninth at the Olympic Games in Athens.

The following year, she won at the World Championships in Helsinki in seventh place, won the silver medal at the Universiade and defended her title at the Asian Championships.

At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, she came up to sixth place. One bronze medal at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia in 2008 was followed by an eighth place finish at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
