Li Meisu

Li Meisu (Chinese李梅 素, Pinyin lǐ Meisu; born April 17, 1959 in Hebei ) is a retired Chinese shot putter.

After she was eliminated at the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki in qualifying, they had already reached a year later at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles fifth. At the World Athletics Championships 1987 in Rome, she was seventh.

The most significant success of their careers celebrated Li at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul. With a width of 21.06 m she won the bronze medal behind Natalya Lissowskaja ( 22.24 m) and Kathrin Neimke ( 21.07 m).

Then Li went again until the late 1990s, international in appearance. After she failed in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta in qualifying, it reached number six in the World Athletics Championships in 1997 in Athens.
