Li Qiangbing

Qiangbing Li (李 嫱 冰Chinese, Pinyin Li Qiangbing; born April 30, 1985 in Beijing) is an Austrian table tennis player of Chinese origin. She qualified in 2012 for the second time to participate in the Olympic Games.

Career

Li Qiangbing is the daughter of former Chinese head coach Li Xiaodong. It was in 1999 in a single second behind Zhangfang and the first team at the Youth Asian Championships and played in 2001 under Chinese flag in Fort Lauderdale a Pro Tour tournament.

Then she moved to Austria and joined the club Linz AG Froschberg to. In 2004 she received the Austrian citizenship. Since 2005, she has been nominated by the Austrian Table Tennis Association for all World Championships. They also took part in the European Championships in 2007, 2008 and 2009. They came in 2009 in the individual to the quarterfinals.

In 2008 she qualified for the first time for the Olympics. With victories over Wenling Tan Monfardini (Italy) and Wu Jiaduo ( Germany ), she reached the second round of the table tennis tournament of the Summer Olympics in Beijing, before she retired against Tie Yana ( Hong Kong). With Linz AG Froschberg she won in 2009 in the Champions League, in 2010 they reached the final. In 2012 she plays in table tennis tournament of the Summer Olympic Games in London.

Private

Besides her native Chinese Li Qiangbing speaks German.

In August 2013, Li got Qiangbing of her partner Stefan Fegerl a child.
