Li Zhanshu

Li Zhanshu (Chinese栗 战 书; * 1950 in Pingshan District, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province) is a politician in the People's Republic of China.

1975 Li joined the Chinese Communist Party. Most of his career was spent in the party leadership at the district and provincial levels of Hebei. He was most recently 1993-1998 Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Committee of the CCP. During the same period he was also a member of the National People's Congress.

In 1998, he held the same position in the province of Shaanxi. There he was party secretary from 2002 to 2004 and Chairman of the People's Congress of the city of Xi'an.

After a change in the Heilongjiang Province, he was there from 2003 to 2010 deputy party secretary of the province and from 2004 to 2007, first deputy governor and governor from 2008 to 2010.

From August 2010 to July 2012, Li was party secretary of Guizhou Province. In this office he was succeeded by Zhao Kezhi.

Since September 2012, is the director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee.

As part of the 18th Party Congress, he was elected in November 2012 as a member of the Political Bureau and member of the Central Secretariat.

He is a member of the CPC Central Committee since 2002 and a candidate since 2012.
