Lia Roberts

Lia Roberts ( born May 7, 1949 in Bucharest as Lia Sandu ) is a former Romanian politician. She was a candidate for election as President of Romania in 2004, but withdrew candidacy due to poor survey results.

In 1979, Lia Roberts fled before the Nicolae Ceauşescu regime in the United States, where she earned dual citizenship. In the state of Nevada, she was chairman of the Republican Party. She is currently Honorary Consul of Romania in Las Vegas.
