Liam Ridgewell (2011)

Liam Ridgewell ( born July 21, 1984 in London) is an English footballer and defender for West Bromwich Albion.

Career

Ridgewell was a part of the Aston Villa team that won the final of the FA Youth Cup in May 2002, his move to West Ham United but firmly stood since February 2001. He was a day after he had scored for England U19 in a 2-2 draw with Yugoslavia U19 score, on loan at AFC Bournemouth, for whom he completed five games between 13 October and 13 November 2002. His debut for Aston Villa he was on 4 January 2003 in the FA Cup in a 4-1 defeat against Blackburn Rovers, where he came on after 69 minutes for Rob Edwards. In August 2007, he spent three million euros to Birmingham City, where he signed a three-year contract with an option for two more years.
