Liaoning Whowin F.C.

Liaoning Hongyun is a Chinese football club based in the northeast of the People's Republic. Before the professionalization of Chinese football 1994 Liaoning was one of the most successful clubs in China and was the first Chinese football club to win the Asian Club Championship (1989 /90). Currently the club plays in the Chinese Super League, the top division of the country.

Club history

The origins of the club in the northeast Chinese team in the early 1950s, which is composed is composed of players all over the Greater Region and was formed in Shenyang. After the Chinese central government had approved its own provincial representatives, the team split up and went over to a large extent under the control of the Shenyang Sports Institute. Over time, Liaoning developed into one of the strongest football teams in the country and the most successful band of the late 1980s and early 1990s: After the first victory in 1978 could Liaoning seven times the national championship (1985, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993) and twice winning the Chinese national Cup (1984 and 1986). As part of the professionalization of the Chinese Football operation in 1993/94 and the privatization of clubs, FC Liaoning was refounded in 1995 as a fully professional club, but could not build on his earlier successes. After a fourth place finish in 1994, the club finished the season in 1995 as Table ( 12 ) and descended to the second division.

In the third year of successful re-entry into the top football league and the surprising runner-up of the newly promoted club in the 1999 season, just behind, only one point forwardmost champion Shandong Luneng Taishan.
