Liberia at the 1956 Summer Olympics

Liberia participated in the Olympic Summer Games 1956 in Melbourne, Australia with a delegation of four athletes (all men) in six competitions in one sport ( athletics) part. There were no medals to be won. The youngest athlete was the sprinter Emmanuel Putu (17 years and 354 days), the oldest athlete was the Sprinter James Roberts (20 years and 63 days). It was the first participation of the country in the Olympic Summer Games.
