Liberty XL-2

The Liberty XL -2 two-seat sports aircraft of the U.S. company Liberty Aerospace of Melbourne ( Florida).

History

The Liberty XL- 2 received on 19 February 2004, the approval by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and on 1 June 2007 its approval by the European Aviation Safety Agency EASA. It is sold from 2008 through the Piper General Agency.

Construction

The plane is a two-seat low-wing monoplane with a fuselage made of carbon fiber and a tricycle landing gear. It is powered by a four-cylinder engine Teledyne Continental Motors with FADEC system and a two-bladed propeller with 1.75 m diameter. The cabin is 0.86 cm high, 2.33 m long and 1.22 m wide. It costs depending on avionics 175000-215000 U.S. dollars.
