Libona, Bukidnon

Libona is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Bukidnon on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It has 39 393 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 14 barangays and 32 sitios. It belongs to the first class of income communities in the Philippines and is described as a partially urbanized. Libona was once part of the district Maluko, it was split on April 4, 1917 in the municipalities libona and Manalo Fortich.

It is located about 92 km northwest of Malaybalay City. Your neighboring municipalities are Cagayan de Oro in the north, Manolo Fortich in the east and in the west Baungon. The topography of the parish is described as mountainous with large canyon -like valleys.
