Libor Radimec

Libor Radimec ( May 22nd, 1950 in Ostrava ) is a former Czech football player.

Club career

Libor Radimec began playing football at the club TJ Ostrava Vitkovice VŽKG. At age 19, he went for two seasons at Dukla Jindřichův Hradec to there to do his military service and then returned to Vitkovice.

In the summer of 1973, the midfielder has been committed by city rivals Banik Ostrava. With BANIK Radimec was the later switched to the libero position in 1976, 1980 and 1981 Czechoslovak champion. In 1978 the team won the Czechoslovak Cup.

In early 1983, went to Radimec Austria Wien, after only half a year he moved on to First Vienna FC, ​​where he finished his career in 1985.

National

In the Czechoslovak national Libor Radimec debuted with only 30 years on 30 April 1980 against Hungary. He was intended for the European Championship 1980, but was injured last season game. In time he was fit for the 1980 Summer Olympics in the Soviet Union, in which the Czechoslovak team won gold. Radimec was one of the best players in the CSSR. He was also in the squad at the 1982 World Cup, but Czechoslovakia separated already winless after the group stage.
