Lick granuloma

Acral lick dermatitis (ALD ), also called leakage granuloma or canine neurodermatitis is a stereotypic behavior in dogs, which can result in self-mutilation.

In the acral lick dermatitis, the stereotype is by licking, chewing or scratching, most commonly on the limbs. The permanent licking leads to areas of hair loss and sores, which may be several centimeters or over the entire limb rich.
