The Liechtenstein Institute is a scientific research center and academic teaching institution in Bendern, the Principality of Liechtenstein. The Institute operates Liechtenstein relevant research in the following four subject areas:
- History
- Political and Social Science
- Jurisprudence
- Economics
In these fields Liechtenstein-relevant issues such as small states, European integration and the Alpine Rhine and Lake Constance region to be processed.
Institute
The Liechtenstein Institute was founded with respect to the state holiday of the Principality of Liechtenstein on the initiative of Gerard Batliner as a research institute for application-oriented basic research with Liechtenstein on 15 August 1986.
