Lifehouse (band)

Lifehouse is an American rock band from Malibu, California. It consists of the singer, songwriter and guitarist Jason Wade, the second guitarist Ben Carey (since 2009), drummer Rick Woolstenhulme and bassist Bryce Soderberg. Former members who left the band in 2004, are Sean Woolstenhulme and Sergio Andrade.

Band History

The first album by Lifehouse No Name Face with the title appeared in 2000. It includes songs in which the singer tells of frustrations and hopes. This album is the most personal and also by far the most emotional Lifehouse album. The singer Jason Wade wore through these songs his inner life and his feelings out into the world. For this album also her biggest hit so far Hanging by a moment comes.

The second Lifehouse album, Stanley Climbfall, appeared in 2002. Lyrically It is far more neutral. So Wade said he did not want to approach very cramped with this album and just wrote what went through his head without use own personal things.

Their third, self-titled album was released in May 2005. For this, the band separated from her bassist Sergio Andrade and the second guitarist Sean Woolstenhulm. On the album worked with several co- writers. With the single from the album You and Me, the band in the United States could reach 5th place. In the German-speaking area of the title, although missed a chart position, but was accepted by the radio stations.

Throughout her career, Lifehouse have been repeatedly accused of rivalries with the band The Calling, as they had lost their guitarist Sean Woolstenhulme to Lifehouse.

Their fourth album Who We Are is released on 19 June 2007 in the American trade. In Europe, it was released a week later. The band was in the spring of 2007 on three-month U.S. tour with the Goo Goo Dolls.

The fifth album Smoke & Mirrors was released after repeated delay on May 7, 2010 in Germany. The first single from this album, Halfway Gone, was released on March 26. In September and October 2010, Lifehouse played a few concerts in Germany. In June 2011, Lifehouse played at the twin festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park.

In August 2011, Lifehouse announced on their official Facebook page that they are working on their sixth studio album. The first single from the new album Almería is called Between The Raindrops and was published on 11 September 2012. It was with Natasha Bedingfield, a good friend of the band, recorded.
