Lighthouse Family

Lighthouse Family is a British musical duo, which was active from the mid 1990s until the early 2000s and from 2010. The British-born singer Tunde Baiyewu and the London Keyboard musician Paul Tucker formed the group in 1993 in Newcastle upon Tyne after meeting while studying at university. Due to the good sales of their debut album Ocean Drive from the year 1995 the band to popular representatives of easy listening throughout Europe. They are best known for their songs Lifted, Ocean Drive, Rain Cloud and High.

History

Both Baiyewu and Tucker were working in bars, when they met for the first time. Together they recorded a series of demos Tucker in the late 1980s written songs. Among them pulled out a demo of " Ocean Drive " to the attention of Polydor Records A & R director Colin Barlow to be communicating with the Group signed an agreement to a six- month development phase in 1993.

In the wake of the economic recession in the UK were at this time in the UK record companies especially on short-term success interested artists under contract. Comeback

In November 2010, the duo announced a return of the Lighthouse Family and planned a UK & Ireland tour in February and March 2011. It was the first performance of Lighthouse Family for eight years. In an interview with the morning shows BBC Breakfast on January 17, 2011 Lighthouse Family announces that they have not spoken to each other even after the first resolution.
