Lightweight Imaging Device Interface Language

The Lightweight Imaging Device Interface Language ( short LIDIL ) is a printer language that is mostly found on newer HP printers. In contrast to the Printer Control Language (PCL), the pure ASCII text output is no longer supported.

Since it is almost exclusively used in the so-called low class of devices, the term is often incorrectly translated interface language for Imaging Devices, lightweight, comfortable to play on the low expected life of the equipment.
