Lightweight Portable Security

Lightweight Portable Security (short: LPS) is a Linux distribution of the U.S. Department of Defense, which was published in June 2011. The live system will only boot from a CD or a USB flash drive, making it grants more security and mobility. In addition, it also leaves no trace on the computer.

General

Preinstalled are a text editor, the calculator and an SSH client. The encryption of sensitive data is possible via drag and drop. Changes in the LPS - Stick will be canceled automatically at the next reboot.

System

Minimum required is an x86 processor and 1GB of RAM.
