Ligneyrac

Ligneyrac ( Occitan Linhairac ) is a commune with 311 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze on the western edge of the Massif Central. The municipality is a member of the Association of Communes Villages du Midi Corrézien. The inhabitants call themselves Ligneyracois (it).

Geography

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 40 kilometers north-east of Brive -la -Gaillarde about 20 kilometers north-west and Beaulieu -sur -Dordogne approximately 27 kilometers southeast.

The tourmente, a right tributary of the Dordogne, which flows through the southern part of the municipality.

Neighboring communities of Ligneyrac are Noailhac in the north, Collonges- la- Rouge in the northeast, Saillac in the east, the south and Sarrazac Turenne in the West.

Traffic

The junction 53 to the A20 Motorway is located approximately 15 kilometers to the west.
