Ligueux (Gironde)
Ligueux is a commune of 172 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) in the Gironde department in the region of Aquitaine. It belongs administratively to the district and to Libourne District of Sainte -Foy- la -Grande, and is a member of the Association of Municipalities Pays Foyen.
Geography
The municipality is situated approximately 20 kilometers southwest of Bergerac on the border to the neighboring Dordogne, in the wine region of Sainte- Foy- Bordeaux. Neighboring municipalities are:
- Saint -Philippe -du- Seignal in the north,
- Razac -de- Saussignac in the northeast ( Dep. Dordogne )
- Monestier in the southeast ( Dep. Dordogne )
- La Roquille in the southwest and
- Pineuil in the northwest.
The municipal seat is located near the eastern boundary of the municipality, which is formed by the river Seignal, which opens about ten miles to the north in the Dordogne.
