Lilla Bommen

Skanskaskrapan ( German " The Skanska (clouds ) Scratches ") is a 22stöckiges, 86 meters high, rotweißgestreiftes high house by the river Göta älv in the center of the Swedish city Gothenburg, near which the four-masted barque Viking and the Göta bridge Älvbron lie. From the official side, the building is also known as Lilla Bommen, named after the port area Lilla Bommen to the adjacent guest harbor. The vernacular was the Skanskaskrapan nicknamed Läppstiftet (engl. " The Lipstick " ), which relates in part to the red color and the slanted top of the building, while other sources the name of the diocese of Gothenburg (Swedish Gothenburg pin ) lead back, the an office in the Skanskaskrapan maintains. The idea of ​​building originated in 1983, when the Gothenburg municipality wanted to provide employment and development in the region and the construction company Skanska intended to strengthen its market position as home builders and property owners. Then Skanskaskrapan was designed by Swedish architect Ralph Erskine British and built by Skanska, led by Gösta Backmark. The Swedish sculptor and artist Claes Hake ( b. 1945 ) created a sculpture group of stone, which was placed between the quay and the Foyer of the House.
