Lily Castel

Lily Castel ( born April 10, 1937 in Ghent as Alice van Acker ) is a Belgian singer and participant of the Euro Vision Song Contest 1971 with singer Jacques Raymond.

Castel was discovered in the talent show Ontdek de Ster in 1958. Then she was active as a singer, frequently performed with orchestras and on television to see.

For the Belgian contribution of the Euro Vision Song Contest 1971 Goeiemorgen, tomorrow, the singing duo Nicole & Hugo was originally intended. However, since the singer Nicole fell ill had to be found quickly a replacement. The choice fell on Lily Castel and the Euro -vision participants from 1963, Jacques Raymond. The song then place with 14 out of 18 possible seats.

Lily Castel remained for many years the faithful singing and had numerous performances at home and abroad.
