The lake is regulated.

The Limingen ( Sami: Lyjmede ) is the eighth largest lake in Norway. It is located in the municipalities Røyrvik and Lierne in Nord-Trøndelag.

In the lake char and trout. In the 1970s also minnows settled.

The Limingen is regulated and shows in sequence variations in water level of 8.7 m. In Røyrvik the Røyrvikfoss is Kraftverk. In the south, near the village of Limingen the water is passed through a tunnel on the Tunnsjø Kraftverk to Tunnsjøen.
