Limit switch

Limit switches (also referred to as a limit switch or limit switch ), sensors which detect when a moving object (such as a workpiece or a machine part ) has reached a certain position. The generated signal can be transmitted electrically, pneumatically or mechanically. At the expiration of controls in mechanical engineering, which consist of several steps, limit switches detect the end of a movement and might cause it to the next step of the process. They are also used as a safety switch ( eg door closed ) to prevent damage to man and machine.

Examples of the use of limit switches:

Conventional designs for limit switches are as roller lever switches or non-contact devices such as photocells and proximity switches or proximity.
