Lin Dunn

Lin Dunn ( born May 10, 1947) is a basketball coach in the United States. Since 2008 she has been head coach of the Indiana Fever in the Women's National Basketball Association ( WNBA).

Dunn began her coaching career at Austin Peay State University, where she oversaw the Women's Basketball team from 1972 to 1977. Then she trained yet other teams at the university level, it was about head coach of the basketball teams of the University of Mississippi ( 1977-1978 ), the University of Miami ( 1978-1987 ) and Purdue University (1987 to 1996). A total of seven appearances at the NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Championship in 1994 she managed the way into the round of the last four teams ( Final Four ).

After she was released from Purdue University after the 1995/96 season, she moved to the Portland Power, a professional women's basketball team in the just founded American Basketball League ( ABL). In the 1998 season, she was named best coach in the league. After the league in 1998 the operation of gambling ceased, in 1999 she became attracted by the Seattle Storm as the first coach and general manager of the franchise. After only three seasons, she quit her job at the Storm. In 2004 she became an assistant coach of the Indiana Fever. On 26 October 2007 announced the Fever, that the contract of head coach Brian Winters is not extended. Few weeks later, Dunn was presented as successor of winter.
