Lin Huiyin

Lin Huiyin (Chinese林徽因, Pinyin Lín Huiyin, born June 10, 1904 in Minhou, Fujian Province, † April 1, 1955 ) was a Chinese architect and writer of the 20th century. She was the first known architect of China.

Lin Huiyin came from a wealthy family and was given the best education that will allow a woman in China. She has also studied in Europe and in America. Together with her husband Liang Sicheng, she created the design of the coat of arms of the People's Republic of China and built the Monument to the Heroes of the People in Beijing on Tiananmen Square ( Tiananmen Square ).
