Linchpin

The linchpin is a component of an axis with wooden spoke wheels. It prevents the shifting of the hub to prevent slipping of the wheel. The linchpin is inserted through the transverse axis in front of the wheel and the lower protruding portion often handled so that it does not fall out or has a hole through which a belt is considered as a captive. Depending on the region it is also called Lünse, Lunen, payroll, LONSE, or averaging.
