The Lincoln Sparrow ( Melospiza lincolnii ) is a North American Singvogelart.

The bird has an olive - brown top with dark stripes, a light brown breast with fine penciling, a white belly and a white throat. He has a brown cap with white center stripe, olive - brown wings and a narrow tail. The face is gray with brown cheeks, black eye stripe and eye ring. For food include insects and seeds that is sought on the ground or in dense vegetation. The Lincoln Sparrow nests in bushes in wetlands in Canada, Alaska and the northeastern and western parts of the United States. The flat, open cup nest is built well hidden on the ground under bushes. In the cold season the bird moves to the southern United States or Mexico and Central America.
