Lincoln County (Kansas)

Lincoln County is a county located in the state of Kansas in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Lincoln Center.

Geography

The County is located east of the geographic center of Kansas and has an area of 1865 square kilometers, of which three square miles are water. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Mitchell County, Ottawa County, Saline County, Ellsworth County, Russell County Osborne County.

History

Lincoln County was formed on 26 February 1867. It was named after Abraham Lincoln, the 16th U.S. president.
