Lincoln Park (San Francisco)

The Lincoln Park in San Francisco, California in 1909, dedicated to the American President Abraham Lincoln.

Location

The 0.4 km ² large complex located in the northwest of the peninsula of San Francisco, and was in 1870 a cemetery in the particularly Chinese and immigrants were buried. In 1909 it became a park. It is located north of the district of Richmond at the western end of the Lincoln Highway in 1913 inaugurated the first transcontinental road connection in the United States. Opened in 1928 also a par -68 golf course, where the annual San Francisco City Golf Championship takes place.
