Linda McAvan

Linda McAvan ( born December 2, 1962 in Bradford, Yorkshire ) is a British politician of the Labour Party.

Life

McAvan studied philology ( French and Spanish). McAvan is since March 1998 Member of the European Parliament. In the European Parliament, she was deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Labour Party from 1999 to 2004 and deputy leader of the Social Democratic fraction from 2004 until 2009. McAvan is married to the British Labour Party politician Paul Blomfield.
