Linda McCartney Racing Team

The Linda McCartney Cycling Team was a former British cycling team.

The driver of the of a directory named after the late Linda McCartney vegetarian foods for dealer sponsored teams were obliged to maintain a vegetarian diet for the contract period.

The team was the first British team that took part in the Giro d' Italia. It was only three years, from 1998 to 2000 broke apart in early 2001, after the main sponsor stopped the financial support in the short term. At this time, other drivers had already been committed for the upcoming season, including the subsequent Tour de France champion Bradley Wiggins. In March 2001, the International Cycling Union UCI announced plans to sue the team operator, as this had presented a fake bank guarantee at team registration.

The greatest success of the team was the stage win of the Australian David McKenzie on the seventh stage of the Giro d' Italia 2000. McKenzie was immediately before the announcement of the team resolution winner of a stage of the Tour Down Under in 2001 and caused quite recent victory of the team.
