Linda Villumsen

Linda Melanie Villumsen Serup ( born April 9, 1985 in Herning ) is a New Zealand racing driver who was born in Denmark.

Since 2004, Linda Villumsen celebrated international successes in road cycling. In 2006 and 2007 she became European champion ( U23 ) in the ITT, 2006, 2008 and 2009, two-time Danish champion in the road race and the time trial. In 2006, she also took on the Danish railway Championships in third place in the individual pursuit.

2006 Linda Villumsen won overall in the Route de France Féminine, 2009, she won the Grand Prix Copa Etrusca and 2009, the International Thüringen Tour of the women. In 2009 she took on the road World Championships in Mendrisio third place in the individual time trial; for their participation in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in fifth in the road race and the 13th in the time trial.

In 2009, Villumsen took part in the New Zealand citizenship. In 2010 she finished second at the New Zealand championships on the road and third in the time trial. In the overall standings of the Tour of New Zealand 2010, she finished sixth in the overall standings. In the same year she won won in Geelong at the Road World Championships in third place in the individual time trial.

The UCI Road World Championships 2011 in Copenhagen she finished second in the individual time trial behind Judith Arndt. 2013, it was New Zealand champion in the time trial and finished at the UCI Road World Championships 2013 in Florence, ranked second behind Ellen van Dijk.
