Linden (also Wheatsheaf ) is a city in Union County, New Jersey, United States. In the 2000 census, a total population of 39,394 was registered. Linden was formed in 1861 from portions of Elizabeth, Rahway and Union Township.
Geography
The geographic coordinates of the city are 40 ° 38'2 "North and 74 ° 14'60 " West.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 29.1 km ², of which 28.0 km ² of land and 1.1 km ² (3.65 %) is water.
