Lindenthal, Cologne

Lindenthal is the city of District 3 of the city of Cologne. It includes the districts of: brown box, Junker village, Velcro Mountain, Lindenthal, Lövenich, Muengersdorf, Suelz, pastures, Widdersdorf.

The incorporation of the districts Brown field, Velcro Mountain, Lindenthal, Muengersdorf and Suelz to Cologne took place in 1888; the rest of the city was incorporated in 1975. The latter formerly belonged to the district of Cologne, which partially came up through local government reform in the Rhine -Erft.

In Lindenthal the University of Cologne and the Melaten cemetery is located. The Aachen and Düren road in the district of Lindenthal and Berrenrather and the Luxemburger Straße in the district Suelz are among the largest and most important roads in the district, where many shops, businesses and schools are located.
