Lindre-Haute

Lindre -Haute is a commune with 52 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Lindre -Haute is located east of Metz on Linder pond ( Etang de Lindre ), but unlike Lindre -Basse not right on the shore but some inland. The town's original name was Linder, French Lindre.

The place belonged to the County of Zweibrücken in 1297 and then went to the Duchy of Lorraine.

1915-18 was the place name in the upper - Linder, amended 1940-44 in Upper Linden.
