Lindsay Alcock

Lindsay Alcock ( born October 8, 1977 in Calgary, Alberta) is a former Canadian Skeleton pilot.

Alcock lives in Calgary and was trained by Teresa Schlachter. She began her international career in November 2000 as winner in an America's Cup race. A year later she started in Koenigssee for the first time in the World Cup and was equal to a third party. In December of the year she won her first World Cup race in Calgary. The 2001/02 season, she finished third as the overall World Cup. 2002/ 03 they finished second and 2003/ 04, she won the overall World Cup. 2004/ 05, she finished fourth. In the 2007 /08 season, she won the overall title of the newly created Skeleton Intercontinental, winning three of the six races of the season.

In 2002 she took part in the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and finished sixth. In Koenigssee she won at the 2004 World Championships behind Diana Sartor the silver medal in the following year in Calgary, she was sixth. At the Canadian Championships, she won the title in 2004 and 2005, silver in 1999 and bronze in 2001. After elimination race within the Canadian team for the 2008/ 09 season, she finished her career in November 2008. Overall, they participated in 34 World Cup races some of which she won six.
