Lindsay Whalen

Lindsay Marie Whalen ( born May 9, 1982 in Hutchinson, Minnesota) is an American basketball player. In 2012 she played for the Minnesota Lynx in the Women's National Basketball Association and for Galatasaray Medical Park in the Euro League Women. The 1.75 meter tall Whalen is primarily used on the position of the point guards.

After several awards during her high school and college Whalen was selected by the Connecticut Sun in fourth place in the Drafts WNBA Draft 2004. On 12 January 2010, she was transferred to the Minnesota Lynx with which they 2011 their first WNBA championship titles won. In addition, she won with the U.S. national team's gold medal at the Olympic Games in 2012.
